How to prepare external walls for painting:

A few factors to consider

1. Conduct a quick moisture test to ascertain if walls are dump free. This can be done by suffocating the walls with a polythen bag by wrapping it on all corners with masking tape , left for 40 minutes. Check after 30minutes and if no water droplets then the walls are free from dumpness . However if any evidence water droplets then the walls are still dump.
2. In case of no dumpness evidence , apply 2 coats of colorsy budget emulsion undercoat and leave to dry for 2 to 4 hours .
3. Apply final first and second coat of colorsy weatherguard emulsion paint to all walls not forgetting to take good consideration of the trims

4. In case of textures , first apply two coats of primer and wait for walls to dry
5. Apply texture paste using a steel float or plastic float to obtain the final desirable design
6. Apply a final coat of colorsy glaze binder to obtain the final fine silky desirable sheen
